Door Handle on Square Plate
This polished brass door handle on a square plate is British made and available in a range of finishes.
The door handle in the photo is the CR 2149 Cambridge Door Handle on a Square Plate. These have a very large, chunky and thick lever, which is decoratively shaped for both comfort and “timeless” style.
Available in over thirty finishes and metals, including real, sandcast bronze, these handles can suit virtually any style of door or décor.
These are a good way of altering the style of your door/handle by choosing a traditional style of lever in a vintage finish and mounting on these more contemporary, square backplates. The opposite of this can also work, whereby the handles and backplate are finished in a modern finish, such as a chrome or nickel plate. The polished brass handles in the photo can suit both vintage and contemporary homes, as they are a classic finish for all door furniture.
These door handles are traditionally cast brass (or real, sandcast bronze) and the polished brass finish shown is available either lacquered or unlacquered.
